Mail Talk - Tuesday!

I got a few things in the mail this week! I get pretty excited to get my mail because of all the goodies I am waiting for.   There are times that I forget which contest or giveaways I enter, but once I get the prize I do.  I usually get a congratulations email if I won, but there are times that I don't.  It's okay I guess because I love surprises. =]

The first prize I got was from Simply Stacie's Blog.  I won a .5 oz satin sheets solid perfume from Scentsy.  It smells great and goes on easy.  Best thing about it is that it's small enough to fit in my purse.

The second prize I got was from Redbook Magazine. I was one of the 60 winners lucky enough to receive a 3 Tea Cleansing Duo by Yves Rocher.  I haven't tried it yet, but once I do I will update.

The Third prize I got was from Running on Happiness's Blog.  I won an Everyday Emily purse from Earth to Alice.  I like that the purse is handmade, they use recycled parts, and they donate $1 of every purchase to the Earth to the Alice to Earth program.  There bags are made with reclaimed coffee bags with a one of a kind stamp and print.  I love the color and the size.  It is big enough for my everyday purse items and for my papers.

My fourth prize which I got today is a pair Maya II vintage inspired bridal earrings from Everything Angelic's facebook page.  They hold contest on their site every week!  I thought these earring were so pretty.  I have been trying different styles and colors because I normally wear my diamond studs.  I can't wait to wear em! This is all I have for today.  I will try to post more contest/giveaway links. So ENJOY the rest of the night! <3

BUSY BEE!

UGGGH! I've been such a busy bee lately.  I just recently got a job so I can keep up with my bills so yea.. MY BAD.  I was kinda bummed I didn't get to post anything about or for valentine's day.  I did however get flowers sent to my work place.  I was surprised =]  It was sweet.

NEW JOB!! So I currently work at RUCHE.  They sell vintage inspired dresses and affordable clothing.  They also teamed up with Threadsence, and they sell indie urban culture style clothing.  It's been pretty good working there.  The people who own and work there are so friendly and nice.  Its been interesting and fun working.  They have so many cute outfits that I want to buy! Anyways check out their site and I'm sure you will love it!

These are things I do on a daily basis (most of the time):
  1. Work ( I have to wake up before 7am and it takes me 1hr because of traffic which should normally take me 20 mins)
  2. 1-2 hours at the gym
  3. 1-2 hours tutoring my niece in math
  4. Cook dinner for myself and my room-mates.
I will try my best to keep updated with postings. I will probably post my past travels, a few outfit photos of things I have won, and more contest.  Please ENJOY! =]

Locks and Locking

So I didn't get a chance to go the temple yet and take any pictures! Which makes me sad because I wanted to see the decorations this year.  I was reminiscing about last year and trying to think about how to make this year even better.  One thing for sure is that I am finally done with school! YAY!  I got a letter in the mail today and soon my Bachelor's certificate will be here!  I know my mom would be proud of me.  She believed in me and told me that I can finish.  Now the adventure begins and I search for a career or I go back to school; which means to spend more money that I DON'T have... =[
Anyways, I've been thinking about changing my hair color since I already cut it last year in September.  I went to the Ultimate Woman's Expo in Los Angeles.  It was so much fun!  There were a lot of vendors; so that meant FREE food, make overs, drinks, tons and tons for vital information, and hair cuts.  I wanted something different since my hair hasn't changed much since I was like 15.  The haircuts were provided by Toni and Guy students.  I decided to chop off 16 inches and donate it to Locks of Love.  I wasn't the only one who donated, my oldest sister cut off 12 inches of her hair.  My haircut alone took about 2 hours because I have ALOT of hair.  The girl who cut my hair was great.  She did a really good job, she even impressed herself and her boss.  Since I let her cut my hair and she said I was a good sport for donating my lock she gave me a haircare product by TIGI called Catwalk from their volume collection Your Highness.  Even though it's in their volume collection (something I don't need) this is a weightless shine spray.  It works great and gives my hair this natural shine without my hair feeling greasy and icky.  SOOOO... any suggestions on hair colors?

I entered a contest a while back on Misadventures with Andi's blog.  She blogs about her travels, food, and other fun stuff.  She has postings of these amazing pictures of food that makes me so hungry.  The sponsor for the giveaway was Theresa Pulido, the owner of the Color Crazy. Color Crazy is a line of beautiful locker hooking books, materials and project kits.  Misadventures with Andi was hosting a contest to win an autographed copy of Color Crazy's new “Locking Loops” book and ANY KIT from her store!  I chose the Workshop Kits--Holiday Candy Coasters--Qty 12 / Multi--4 of each color / 12.  I didn't open it yet, but I am excited to have some fun with this.

It has been a long week because of Chinese New Years and other things that has been going on I will post more interesting things when I get the chance.  ENJOY the rest of the week! <3

It came! I was excited when I ordered my first Julep Maven box.  I have been waiting to try some new colors so I thought this was the best deal that I have come across in a long time.  Julep is a boutique nail salon that is innovative in healthy nail polishes, hand and foot care products.  Julep is a monthly subscription service for nail polish.  When on their website, you will take a style quiz to see what colors fit you best.

What are the benefits of being a Maven?
For just $19.99 a month, you'll receive over $40 worth of trendsetting polish colors and cutting-edge treatment products each month customized in a gift-able Sneak Peek Box. FREE shipping on ALL your purchases.  All you have to do is sign up to become a Julep Maven.

To become a Julep Maven just follow these quick and easy steps:
  1. Take the Julep Maven Style Quiz
  2. View your style profile and personal beauty editor sneak peek box
  3. Create a login
  4. Place an order
  5. Now YOU are a Julep Maven.
There are 5 different styles that you can get: Classic Chic with a Twist, American Beauty, It girl, Boho Glam and Bombshell.  When I took the quiz I got Classic Chic with a Twist, but you can always try another style each month  My introductory Maven Box included:

I love the rich colors of the nail polish.  It dries faster than the polish I already own too.  Julep is powered by girlfriends and I like that they donate $1 from every bottle of Julep Nail Color to organizations that support women.

Right now there is a Julep Maven promo code :
Use code MAVEN5 to get your first month of Julep Maven for only $5, usually $19.99 for $40 worth of product. Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year!!
2012 and it is the year of the water Dragon.  The color of Water in Five Elements system is related to Black. Therefore we can say 2012 is a Black Dragon, Water Dragon or Black Water Dragon year. Dragon is a legendary animal and it is symbol of emperor in China. Since the Dragon is coated with mysterious color, Chinese consider that the dragon is unpredictable, untouchable and people cannot see its head and tail at the same time. Therefore, we can might see something unexpected happening in 2012. Also a person with too many dragons in the Chinese astrology birth chart will become smarter, sly and unpredictable in the coming year.

I will be going to the temple in the morning to check out all the decorations and to take pictures. I will put up in a future post.  I am entering a few contest for the night and will list them here below, so go and enter these contest to win some wonderful stuff. ENJOY!

Mail Talk!

I was pretty excited when I won a contest on Romwe's facebook.  All I did was sign up for their newsletter, like their facebook page, and leave my email address on the selected post.  They chose a total of 3 winners everyday from January 1-15.  There was a chance to win 3 pairs of the same tights out of 10 tights.  On a few of the tights, there was a chance to win a coupon for $10, $20, $50, or even $100.  I was chosen on Jan. 1!  Way to start off the new year right?  I didn't win one with a coupon, but I was still glad and happy that I even won at all.  They sent me 3 pairs of the same tights!  I will post another picture when I actually wear them.  They somewhat look like what I posted to the left.  I can't wait to finally wear one of them. =]

I was pretty excited to see what other packages that came today!   I am addicted to contest and giveaways.  There were some contest I won so I can give them to other people just because I like giving gifts.  One reason why I LOVE Christmas time!!

I got a package today from iHerb.com with Madre Labs Skincare.  I entered a rafflecopter contest on My Beauty Bunny's Blog.  Her site is wonderful because she lists beauty products that don't test on animals.  She has a bunch of other great topics on her blog too.  So here is a picture of the wonderful stuff I got.

Well readers, ENJOY the rest of the day because I will.  Thanks for reading and please feel free to follow me! =]
